Getting to Ischia from the Airport
The nearest airport to Ischia is Naples International Airport (NAP). If you are arriving from Rome, you will first need to travel to Naples, then take a ferry to Ischia.

Option 1: From Naples International Airport (NAP) to Ischia
After landing at Naples International Airport (NAP), you need to travel to a port to catch a ferry to Ischia. There are three port options:
Getting to the Port from the Airport
By Taxi: Takes about 20 minutes. Request a fixed fare. Taxis can take you to:
Molo Beverello – for fast boats ( passengers only)
Calata Porta di Massa – for regular ferries (allows vehicles)
Pozzuoli Port – a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport, with ferries to Ischia
By Bus: The Alibus shuttle connects the airport to the Naples ferry terminals (Molo Beverello and Calata Porta di Massa).

Option 2: From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Ischia
If you are flying into Rome, you must first travel to Naples, then take a ferry to Ischia.
Getting to Naples from Rome
Take the Leonardo Express train from Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Roma Termini (direct, no stops).
From Roma Termini, take a high-speed train to Naples Centrale (1 hour 10 minutes).
From Naples Centrale, follow the instructions above to reach the ferry terminal and take a ferry to Ischia.
Ferries to Ischia
From Naples or Pozzuoli, ferries arrive at Ischia Porto, Casamicciola, or Forio—all are viable arrival points.
